Connie + Minh : Married Tuesday, March 31, 2009 |

Wedding Date: January 24, 2009
Photographers: Thurston* and Mariae*
Ceremony: Private Residences
Venue: Xander House
Wedding Coordinator: Stephanie Phillips

It's not every week that I show up at the bride's house and causes the bride to erupt into tears. Yes, dear stalkers...I made Connie cry. But, it was good tears...I promise. When they asked Connie why she was crying, she said it was because she was so happy to see me. :) Yes, I bring joy and happiness everywhere I go...LOL! :) But stalkers, can I tell you how ecstatic I was to hear my favorite all time song played TWICE during Connie's wedding...that makes Connie and Minh's wedding one of my favorite wedding to be at! :)

So stalkers, because I have at least 30-40 blogs to blog at some point, I would like to finally introduce you to Minh and his wife that I made cry, Connie. :)

Connie and Minh had two traditional ceremonies at both side of the family home. I always think the best part of these are the details from the tea ceremonies.

Can't have a tea ceremony without tea. :)

The groom side of the family bringing in the gifts to "bribe" Connie over to their side.

Gold teacups!

Typically the ring exchange is also done during the last part of the Tea Ceremony. :) (That's the two moms on opposite side - holding the rings!)

The best part of the Tea Ceremony (besides the getting married of course)...when a girl get her wedding jewelries.... :)

...and her red envelopes. :)

And it's not a wedding unless you're superglueing the bridesmaid bouquets back together. Yes, superglue. Connie+Minh's videographer had this genius idea of having the groomsmen toss the bridesmaids' bouquets up in the air for the bridesmaid to catch. Ummm....yeah. That's all I have to say for that. :oP

Some quick portraits of the bride and groom after the Tea Ceremonies.

Afterwards Connie and the girls changed and we did some wedding party pictures in the freezing January cold. Yes, it was crazy cold! We didn't stay out there too long since I didn't want to catch hypothermia.

Reception Details. :)

The massive wedding cake...and the groom's cake.

Their first dance together. Yes, she's in her third dress for the day. :)

The bubble exit! :) I love how nonchalant Minh is right here and I am especially digging the one guest on the right of the image that is really into the bubble exit!

Connie and Minh, congratulations! :)

The UpperHand Royal Oaks : Salon Shoot Saturday, March 14, 2009 |

Session Date: Monday, January 19, 2009

Stalkers, I'm excited to show you my most recent session with the stylists/models for The UpperHand Salon...featuring the Royal Oaks' stylists. I never know what to expect when I show up at the salon each time...and yet time and time again, the stylists there never ceases to amaze me with what they can do with hair and makeup. So, with that being said...I have been on pins and needles to show the images from this shoot for a while now (and contemplated skipping over several blogs to get to this one faster - but I didn't)...stalkers...the newest collection of images from The UpperHand session. :)

Carol + Glen : Married |

Wedding Date: January 17, 2009
Photographers: Thurston* and Mariae*
Venue: Sara's Bed and Breakfast Inn (Houston, TX)
Stalkers! Meet the cutest couple ever to get hitched! :) Carol and Glen was first slated to get married in September - but then Hurricane Ike happened - and they had to postpone their wedding date until January. I first met Carol and Glen at Trisha+Peter's wedding in Austin which we documented last April. A few months later, Trisha sent us an email asking if we could document her mother's wedding to Glen and of course we were thrilled to be ask!!! Carol and Glen had a very intimate wedding filled with family and friends - and amazing food. Also, can I just give a shout-out to Trisha for being such a stellar wedding coordinator that day? She ran around and just made sure everything was absolutely perfect for the wedding!
Stalkers, meet the radiant couple - Carol and Glen. :)

We did a quick little photo-session upstairs while waiting for the ceremony to start. :)

The pretty blooms. :)

Glen and Carol decided to process down the aisle together. :)

Stalkers, I cannot even begin to tell you how happy this picture makes me. I love Carol's look to Glen right here!

The ring exchange. :)

Their first kiss as Mr. and Mrs.!! :)

And ending this on a sweet little first dance moment. :)

Carol and Glen, congratulations! :)

Lindsay : Bridals Friday, March 13, 2009 |

Session Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2009

It's rare that I post a bridal session and I don't have to warn the groom (in this case Cody) to navigate away from the blog...IF there was ever a chance he stumbled on this blog. :) But, Lindsay and Cody was married. It happened a few weeks ago. It was lovely and I cannot wait to blog about how they threw the perfect wedding! Yes, I said it - the perfect wedding. :) But before we get to that...I wanted to show you a couple of images from Lindsay's bridal session at the Driskill Hotel in Austin. Also, I wanted to say a HUGE HUGE thank you to Renee Dahl of
A Bed of Roses for putting together this gorgeous bouquet - literally the morning of the shoot when I realized that Lindsay was coming without blooms! I cannot believe how amazing Renee was in such short notice!

Stalkers, meet the lovely Lindsay. :)

Just a fun little Lindsay's fact...this was not her original wedding gown! Lindsay had to get this last minute because of a little snagfu with her dress! But seeing both dresses on her..I love this number on her the best! :)

I almost died when Lindsay busted out the fur shrug. Gorgeousness. By the way, did I tell you guys yet that I now bear a physical scar on my back from this session? Yes, I was injured!!

Lindsay's entire wedding theme was very vintage glam...so stalkers, you will just have to wait until the blog to see how she pulled it all together. (Of course, if you're on the Pink Posh Facebook Group - you got a little sneaky peek already!)

Alex + John : Engaged |

Session Date: January 3, 2009

I thought I would throw up a handful of images from Alex+John's e-session. This was easily one of the hottest day of the year - and it was only three days into January. Thurst and I met up with Alex+John - who flew in from the midwest (where he's currently working) to shoot their e-session at Mt. Bonnell in Austin. Alex and John are actually getting married in a few short weeks at one of my favorite venue in Austin - Villa Antonia! I cannot wait to get back there and shoot!

Stalkers...I would like for you guys to meet Alex and John! They were such troopers here! This is not a path on Mt. Bonnell - and was actually a bit off from where we were supposed to be walking...but I threw out this idea for them to be in this little clearing...and with no hesitation at all...they totally humor me. :) Love that!

A few other not exactly safe areas...but how else can you get that view??

We then headed downtown to sweat out the rest of the engagement session there. :)

The famous Austin postcard mural. :)

Alex + John, we can't wait to see you guys again in April!! :)
