Austin Wedding Photography
Wedding Date: July 31, 2010
Photographers: Mariae* and Thurston*
Church: St. Albert the Great - Austin, Texas
Tony and Tam have become a pretty intricate part of my little Austin family. So much so that we spent weeks coming up with the perfect first dance song for them. We shopped for napkins with them. My husband even FOLDED napkins and put little ribbons on them - wherease for our wedding, he only showed up! (Of course, I wasn't a napkin-nazi like Tam). :)

But typically being on the "vendor" side of wedding, Tam and Tony's wedding was a reminder of how crazy the week or month prior to a wedding can get. And since Thurst and I figured they were already going nuts with all the wedding preparations...we thought that they should also include the official National Dance Day dance at their reception. With Thurst and I being So You Think You Can Dance conneisours, we asked Tony and Tam if they would practice the NappyTab dance routine with their wedding party and perform it at the wedding. They agreed - only if we would do it too! It seemed a good idea at the time. A group of us practiced for about two weeks every night at my house...and for sure, this was going to be best routine ever. We even had plan to catch it on video with our 5d Mk2...and Hali drove down from Dallas to shoot this part of the wedding - since Thurst and I were a part of this impromptu dance troupe. Their wedding day came around with much anticipation. Tony even spent the night prior at our house and got ready there! (Yes, I believe he and my husband may be BFF!) Tony and Tam did the entire tea ceremony thing that morning and then we headed to St. Albert the Great. With some time to spare, we decided to call a "last minute" dance rehearsal in the bride's changing room. Yes, right before church. Well, dear stalkers...I'm going to have to confess to you that at this point the story leading up to the actual dance routine is a lot more interesting than the dance. The final outcome of the dance was a total hot mess. We had fun. But it was a mess. I would show you pictures and videos...but ummmm...I think we lost them. :oP C'est la vie. In the meanwhile...enjoy Tony and Tam's beautiful Austin wedding. I certainly did. :)
