Nancy + Tony : Married

Wedding Date: November 22, 2008
Photographers: Thurston* and Mariae*
Ceremony: Private Residence
Venue: Kim Son Ballroom at Bellaire

Nancy and Tony tied the knot back in November - right before Thanksgiving. (Yes, I realize that January of 2009 is almost over. Don't judge.) They actually live around my neck of the woods - yes, Austin, TX - but decided to have their wedding in Houston, TX where the majority of their family and friends are located at. It was actually a pretty laid back sorta wedding. They had a traditional tea ceremony/wedding ceremony at Nancy's home and then with hours to spare...we headed over to the Post Oak area of town for wedding party/bride/groom pictures at our leisure. Yes. Leisure time on a wedding day. It really doesn't get any better than that. :)

So, stalkers...meet Tony and beautiful Nancy. :)

I heart dahlias...and I big marshmallow puffy cloud heart couples who uses them extensively in their wedding details. :) Plus, some pictures of oranges. It's late. Don't ask.

Tony and Nancy "seeing" each other for the first time. This is one of those pictures that make me smile just looking at it. :) During their wedding ceremony, Tony and Nancy both wrote and recited "10 things I love about you." I took some pictures of it, but I decided to not share their list on a public blog. :)

The couple serving the tea to their "elders..."

...in exchange for pretty red envelopes....:)

So, since we had hours to spare...I took them out to their honeymoon hotel for some pictures. :)

Tony's lucky. 'Nuff said. :oP (Tony, by the way, I heard about how you tried to get Nancy on the roof of the house to get your names in lights...very nice...taking advantage of the wife already!)

Nancy didn't get a chance to do a bridal session prior to the wedding day...and because we had such a huge chunk of time left before we had to be at the venue...we got to shoot a couple of these... :)

Love this! I can't believe how lush Houston looks in November. Crazy!

So, my next series...how many ways I can take pictures of rings...with candies. (Nancy and Tony if you were wondering why I returned your rings wet...I was trying to get the sugars off the rings. :oP)

I did this shot for a friend who has an unhealthy obsession with candy corn. (By the way, this has nothing to do with the wedding but it's been driving me nuts all night...but I've been looking for Hot Tamales Cotton Candy - I've only seen it in theaters...but I'm sure they must be selling it in stores somewhere??!! Leave a comment if you know where!!!)

Rings wrapped up in sour candy? :)

The cake and some details....you think they may have an affinity for the Longhorns? :)

The escort cards. The names are on the other side. We just thought the back was so pretty. :)

Yay! Dahlias. :)

Their first dance..:)

And...the open dance floor. :)

The toast. You may be wondering where Nancy is at in the picture. She hid. No really, she hid while the toast was going on. So, it was an impromptu sorta thing that happened at the very end of the night..when everyone was completely inebriated.....when the groomsmen decided to toast the bride and groom. Nancy, I would have hid too!

Nancy and Tony! Congratulations...and please stay off of roofs. :)
