Pink Posh Babies : Ethan Amani

Session Date: November 14, 2008

Two months ago, Thurst and I got to hang out with the sweetest little guy and his kick a** grandma. That's right...I said it. Unfortunately, I never did get the chance to meet his parents (they were working)...so couldn't be there for the mid-afternoon shoot...but Mona (Ethan's mom) did email me with all the wonderful things he could do...but of course...none of that surfaced during the shoot. :) Stalkers, I don't get the chance to shoot babies often (so...after typing that...that sentencce just sounds wrong!), and I'm sure children photographers can tell you that it takes some skill to shoot babies all serene and calm and looking like perfect little angel. Which is probably why my images wasn't anything like that. :oP Anyone who knows me...knows that I do not mind a crying baby....and although Ethan was absolutely wonderful....I only let his grandma give him a 10 minute nap and then waking him up for pictures again. Yeah...I don't imagine anyone being thrilled about that. But oh how I love all the different faces and emotions that babies go through. :)

Stalkers, meet itty bitty Ethan Amani. :) This was at the beginning of the session...so he was still well rested and well fed! :) And happy to see me :)

Isn't he handsome? Ethan is going to break hearts one day...mamas keep your daughters away! :)

One of my favorite pictures of Ethan in his Ethan Blanket. :)

Ethan's grandma told me that Mona painted and decorated the room herself...and painstakenly painted the stripes. I loved loved loved his nautical inspired room..and the capiz shell chandelier in the corner. Mona has wonderful tastes! :)

We took him outside a bit. He was only a little over three months at the time, so couldn't sit up by himself yet...but grandma was right there supporting his back. :)

Some of my favorite images are coming up. Yes...he became grouchy because we had a two hour shoot and he was in and out of clothes...didn't get a nap...but look how cute babies look when they get upset...

I LOVE ETHAN in this picture. ..but I'm sure I was his least favorite person at the time. :)

I know baby, you need a nap. :( I promise one is coming up really soon.

Ethan - when he thought we were done....and when he realized we were only halfway done. :)

Little baby feet are the best. :)

Ethan's grandma put him down for a quick ten minute nap. She was rocking him back and forth inside his blankie...

And voila! Just like magic... :)
Mona, thanks for letting me hang out with Ethan...we absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. :)
