Rusha + Jay : Married (Part 2 of 4) Day Before Shoot
Day "before" Session: May 29, 2010
Location: Downtown Chicago
Since Rusha and Jay decided to hold their ceremony on Sunday, we actually had a free day on Saturday. However, if you guys know me by now...you know that I hate going to gorgeous new locations with no couple to shoot. On numerous occassions, when Thurst and I had been travelling...we would always come across an amazing location and look at each other and go..."Waste." Too bad we don't have a bride here with us. Yups. Stalkers...you have just found out my deep dark dirty secret. I can't shoot landscape. I mean I can...and I have...but I much rather have a subject in my picture. It gives the area so much more life and the image so much more interesting to me. :) So, on a Saturday that Thurst and I had nothing to do...but Rusha and Jay had a whole list of things to accomplish before their wedding the next day...I dragged them an hour downtown for a quick 30 minute shoot. (President Obama was in town...it was Memorial Day weekend...and the mere fact that we chose a location that had a wedding party every three feet...well space and time was a premium). By the way, I would like to point out that Chicago was the start of President Obama stalking us on our travel. Check out later blogs to find out why. :oP
Rusha is a Bollywood dancer with a dance troupe in Houston. So I asked her to pose in some dance moves for me. I HEART!
This picture makes me smile! This is so Jay and Rusha to me!
And homage to SNL : I'm On a Boat.
